Celebrant on Wheels: My Campervan And Me 🚐

Being a wedding celebrant is all about connection, with people, with places, and with the stories that make each couple unique. For me, that sense of connection deepened the day we bought our campervan. What started as a practical way to travel around the UK has become a joyful extension of who I am and how I work.Β  My husband and I dreamt for years of having a campervan and being able to visit new places, now we are living that dream.Β  When I am not busy writing scripts or preparing for an imminent ceremony, we often take a couple of days out, pack our van and hit the road.

I love to work locally, delivering heartfelt ceremonies within my district of Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas of Grimsby and Cleethorpes, serving my local community but on the odd occasion I may be asked to perform a ceremony outside of my area, that is when PorrohVan (my lovely campervan) comes in very useful!

My campervan isn’t just transport for our breaks away.   When required, it can be my mobile office, my quiet thinking space, my overnight base for further afield ceremonies, and sometimes even my sanctuary for a cup of tea and a moment of calm before the big β€œI do.” Sometimes it covers all,  I often use our trips away for inspiration and can often be found jotting down ideas or even writing scripts on my laptop inside our van, it really does cover all bases.

Comfort, Calm, and a Cup of Tea β˜•πŸ’›

Weddings can be emotional, busy, and full of moving parts. If on location my campervan gives me a private space to prepare, breathe, and centre myself before stepping into the ceremony.  It may also be the place to find Mr Wright, who will often by my chauffeur and cup of tea maker.

Inside, you may find:

  1. My ceremony script
  2. A stash of emergency items (from tissues to safety pins)
  3. A kettle ready for a calming cuppa and possibly a biscuit
  4. A cosy seat where I rehearse those final lines
  5. Oh and don’t forget… Mr Wright !

A Celebrant Who Travels With Heart ❀️

Whether I’m parked beside a barn in Lincolnshire, or tucked into a quiet corner of a family farm, I bring the same warmth, humour, and heartfelt storytelling to every ceremony.

The Road Ahead

Whether I arrive by car locally or come in my campervan and stay for the evening. Every journey brings new stories, new landscapes, and new moments of joy.
